For 3Fold Missions, our work in Romania has grown from years of friendship, prayer, and partnership into an ongoing commitment to children and families facing generational poverty.
Through Pathways to Hope, that commitment is now taking shape in a tangible way as students receive academic support, mentorship, creative arts, and spiritual encouragement through trusted local leaders.

Through years of relationship-building and collaboration with local leaders, Pathways to Hope was established to create opportunities for children and families in Hosman, Romania. What began as an idea has grown into a year-round program where students receive academic support, mentorship, creative arts instruction, and spiritual encouragement in a safe and nurturing environment.
Led by dedicated local educators and mentors, the program is helping children build confidence, develop new skills, and discover hope for the future.

As Pathways to Hope continues to grow, we remain focused on empowering local leaders, strengthening families, and creating opportunities for children to reach their God-given potential. Through education, mentorship, creative expression, and spiritual encouragement, we are planting seeds of hope that can impact future generations.
While programs and needs may evolve, our mission remains the same: supporting the spiritual, mental, and physical well-being of individuals and communities as they work toward a brighter future.
The Girl in the Photograph
One Photograph. Eight Years. A Story Still Unfolding.
During a recent visit to Hosman, we spent several hours talking with students in the Pathways to Hope program about their dreams, goals, and hopes for the future.
Their responses were deeply encouraging.
Again and again, the children spoke about the opportunities that education was creating in their lives. Students shared stories of improved grades, growing confidence, and a belief that their future could be different from the circumstances around them.
One student, Stefania, stood out. She spoke openly about her academic growth, her desire to continue her education, and her dream of attending high school and college. More importantly, she shared how she had begun making intentional choices about the people and influences in her life because she wanted something better for her future.
As we listened, it was clear that Pathways to Hope had become more than an after-school program. Through the leadership of Cezar and other mentors, students were finding encouragement, support, and people who genuinely believed in them.
Later that evening, while looking through photographs from a 2017 trip to Romania, we made an unexpected discovery. One of the young girls in those photographs was Stefania. In one picture, she was just four years old.
The realization was overwhelming. The same child we had met years earlier was now a confident young woman with goals, ambition, and hope for the future.
That moment reminded us that lasting transformation often happens slowly. Seeds planted through relationships, encouragement, faith, and education can take years before we fully see the impact.
Today, through Pathways to Hope, we are witnessing those seeds begin to bear fruit. Not only in improved grades, but in confidence, purpose, and the belief that a different future is possible.
Sometimes God is working long before we recognize the full story He is writing.
Pathways to Hope: Growing Through Relationships
One of the most encouraging developments in Pathways to Hope has been the leadership of Cezar Boica, a full-time teacher who serves as the foundation of the program. Through his dedication and consistent investment in students, he is helping children grow academically, socially, and spiritually while building trusted relationships with families throughout the community.
As the program has grown, we have also been presented with new opportunities to expand the ways we serve students. This has included the involvement of additional local leaders, such as Anca, a local artist and ministry leader whose creative arts activities provide engaging opportunities for children to explore faith, build confidence, and express themselves.
Over the past year, we have also been blessed to partner with churches and volunteers from the United States who share our passion for investing in the next generation. Together, these relationships reinforce our belief that lasting transformation happens when communities are empowered from within and supported by people willing to walk alongside them for the long term.
Looking Ahead
While programs and opportunities may evolve, our mission remains the same. Through Pathways to Hope, local leaders, church partners, and supporters are investing in the spiritual, mental, and physical well-being of children and families in Hosman.
Together, we are building relationships, strengthening communities, and creating pathways to hope for future generations.
